1. Introduction

Movies Now (hereinafter "the App") is a mobile application available on Google Play designed to help users discover movies and OTT releases. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the App and covers how we handle personal and non-personal information collected through the application.

By downloading, installing, and using Movies Now, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the App.

Movies Now utilizes The Movie Database (TMDB) API to provide movie, show, and OTT release information. The data displayed in the App originates from TMDB's database.

• We retrieve OTT availability information
• We access poster images and promotional content
• Your API queries to TMDB may be logged by TMDB according to their Privacy Policy

4. Advertising

Movies Now displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob to keep the application free to use. These ads may be personalized based on your interests and usage patterns.

• Banner Ads: Static or animated ads displayed at the top or bottom of screens
• Interstitial Ads: Full-screen ads that appear between app transitions
• Rewarded Ads: Ads that reward you with in-app Credits upon completion

Google AdMob Data Collection

Google AdMob collects and processes the following data for ad personalization:

• Device identifiers (AAID, GAID)
• IP address and approximate location
• Browsing and app usage history
• Demographic information (age, gender - estimated)
• Interests and preferences

5. Rewarded Ads & Credits System

Movies Now features a Credits system that allows you to earn virtual currency by watching rewarded advertisements. These Credits can be used for premium features without requiring real money.

How Credits Work

• You can watch rewarded ads to earn Credits
• Each completed rewarded ad earns you a fixed number of Credits
• Credits are stored locally on your device
• Credits do not expire and are tied to your device installation

Credit Usage

Credits can be used to:

• Download movie poster images and promotional content
• Add movies to your watchlist with priority status
• Enable and extend push notification features

6. Push Notifications

Movies Now can send you push notifications about upcoming movies, OTT releases, and other app-related updates. Notifications are processed locally on your device.

Notification Data

• Notification preferences are stored locally on your device
• Subscribed genres and interests are saved locally
• Notification history is maintained locally

Managing Notifications

You can enable or disable notifications at any time through the app's Settings menu. You can also manage notification permissions through your device's Settings > Apps > Movies Now > Permissions > Notifications.

Note: Disabling notifications may require spending Credits if notifications were enabled as a premium feature.

7. Watchlist (Local Storage Only)

Your watchlist—the list of movies and shows you want to watch—is stored entirely on your device. We do not transmit, store on servers, or sync your watchlist data.

Watchlist Storage

• Watchlist data is saved locally to your device storage
• No data is sent to our servers or third-party services
• Your watchlist is not backed up to the cloud
• Watchlist data will be deleted if you uninstall the app or clear app data

8. Image Downloads

Movies Now allows you to download movie poster images and promotional artwork to your device storage using Credits or premium features.

Image Download Information

• Downloaded images are saved to your device's local storage or external storage (with permission)
• Images are sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB) API
• Downloaded images are not uploaded to any server
• You retain full control over downloaded images on your device
• Downloaded images respect TMDB's usage rights and licensing

Storage Permissions: The app requests access to your device storage to save downloaded images. You can grant or deny this permission in your device settings.

9. In-App Purchases

Movies Now offers an optional in-app purchase: Lifetime Premium, which removes ads and unlocks additional features.

Premium Features Include

• Complete removal of all advertisements
• Unlimited image downloads without Credits
• Priority watchlist features
• Extended notification capabilities

Payment Processing

All in-app purchases are processed through Google Play's billing system. We do not collect, store, or process payment information. Payment data is handled exclusively by Google Play according to their terms and privacy policies.

• Your payment method (credit card, debit card, Google Play balance) is managed by Google
• We receive only confirmation that a purchase was completed
• Purchase status is tied to your Google Play account
• Refunds for in-app purchases are processed through Google Play
